his class teaches you Kuo Style Tai Chi, Northern Shaolin Style Kung Fu, Shaolin Fan, Dragon Style Sword and self-defense. Improve physical and mental strength, develop self- confidence and discipline. Class fee includes $1/month Northern Shaolin Association membership. Health Qigong and Tai Chi, is an ancient art that existed over 2,000 years ago. It was developed by Hua Tao, a renown medical doctor in the famous “Three Kingdoms” era. This Health Qigong set emphasizes coordinated mind and form, twisting and stretching of the body movements, while mimicking the five animals, all in a playful, and happy mood. During the process of regulating Qi and blood, and balancing Yin and Yang, it achieves the effect of strengthening the body and nourishing the heart. The movements are slow, soft and gentle. They are suitable for practitioners of all ages. Long term practice can help improve mood and emotional states, enhance body shape and reduce fat. The results of many scientific studies showed that Health Qigong can improve the functions of the cardiovascular, respiratory and digestive systems, raise the balancing ability, and better the flexibility and force of muscles, improve the mood, lessen anxiety and stress. Also, it can play a significant role in healing many common health issues found in middle- aged and elderly people.
