Qigong Health

Qigong, “Yi Jin Jing” is an ancient art that existed over 2,000 years ago. It has been made famous by the Shaolin Temple, as it was used to strengthen the Shaolin Monks’ physically and to improve their focus mentally. This Health Qigong set emphasizes coordinated mind and body form, twisting and stretching of the body movements, with the emphasis on exercising the spine, which is recognized as the source of strength.

During the process of regulating Qi and blood, and balancing Yin and Yang, it achieves the effect of strengthening the body and nourishing the heart. The movements are slow, soft and gentle. They are suitable for practitioners of all ages. Long term practice can help improve mood and emotional states, enhance body shape and reduce fat. The results of many scientific studies showed that Health Qigong can improve the functions of the cardiovascular, respiratory and digestive systems, raise the balancing ability, and better the flexibility and force of muscles, improve the mood, lessen anxiety and stress. Also, it can play a significant role in healing many common health issues found in middle-aged and elderly people. No sessions Apr 22 & May 20 Space Permitting – Drop-in Fees: $3.81
